Born in Krakow, Poland, Rafal completed his M.F.A. degree at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow, majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Photography. After relocating to Vancouver, Canada, he pursued Desktop Publishing studies in BCIT. He now resides in Whistler, BC where he has founded his own business, Rafal Digital Imaging Studio. He is also an accomplished graphic designer, and photographer.

The imagery in his work reflects his deep passion and respect for the natural world, which his productions capture in both its simplicity and transcendent power. His professional goal is to build a bridge in visual communication area linking people with fine-arts and cutting-edge technology.

His artistry is versatile and embraces fine-arts portraiture, black-and-white photography, photo finishing, collage-based experiments, as well as oil painting, watercolour, and drawing.

Besides producing a diverse array of graphic-design-based work, his Digital Imaging Studio also includes these services: creative design, prepress services, video-editing, web solutions and use of graphic software to manipulate images and print files.
